Baseball:
Pasadena got Pacific League victory No. 3 on Tuesday.
And they did so in dominant form.
The Bulldogs spanked Hoover, 17-3, and out-hit the Tornadoes, 14-4.
Kaleb Derosier went three innings to earn the win, and he was charged with two unearned runs on three hits.
Derosier issued one walk and registered three strikeouts.
Bruno Pierandozzi provided two innings in relief, allowing an unearned run on one hit and a pair of walks.
Pierandozzi struck out one Hoover batter.
Kieran Sinta walked, singled and scored.
Jordan Mahler had an RBI double.
Jacob Vangor singled and scored.
Daniel Cano had an RBI single.
Owen Marks got the loss after surrendering eight runs (one earned) on six hits over 1 2/3 innings.
Marks issued a pair of walks and struck out one.
Harrison Gwaltney went off.
Gwaltney singled, doubled twice, scored and drove in five runs.
Reese Kim went 1-for-3 with a walk, double, two runs and an RBI.
Derosier helped his own cause, going 3-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI.
Ian Van Zyl collected a pair of singles and three runs.
Bruno Pierandozzi went 2-for-3 with a pair of walks, three runs and three RBIs.
Max Reynolds singled twice, scored a pair of runs and drove in one.
Riley Andrade singled and scored.
Dylan Derosier drew a bases loaded walk and had an RBI ground out.
Fabio Castillo drew a pair of walks, scored three times and had one RBI.
