Justin Yeutter Goes 3-for-3 & Drives in Go-Ahead Run in Bottom of Sixth Inning to Lead Los Osos to a 3-2 Victory Over Warren

Los Osos opened what many expect to be a banner season with a 3-2 victory over their visitors from Warren.

Angel Cervantes went five innings for the Bears, and he was charged with two runs on seven hits.

Cervantes didn’t issue a walk and struck out five LOHS batters.

Travis Morales was saddled with the loss after surrendering a sixth inning run on two hits and a walk.

Justin Yeutter went 3-for-3, including an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth to plate what turned out to be the game-winning run.

Roberto Topete doubled in the first inning, and he scored on Hunter Meyer’s double.

Meyer went 3-for-3 with a run and one RBI.

Josh Chairez had an RBI single in the fifth to pull the Grizzlies even at 2-2.

Reagan Samples went the first five innings for the Grizzlies, and he was charged with two runs on seven hits.

Samples walked one and registered three strikeouts.

Preston Young went two scoreless innings to earn the win.

Young allowed two hits and struck out one Warren batter.

Andrew Guardado went 2-for-3, including a double and one run.

Diego Ramirez went 2-for-2.

Cervantes helped his own cause with a sac fly.

Tiger Cruz singled and scored.

Chairez also made a big play on defense.
