Bishop Amat got off to a solid start to the 2025 season.
The Lancers rode the arm of Izaac Muniz in a 5-0 victory over Charter Oak.
Muniz went the distance, allowing four hits, walking two and striking out seven COHS batters.
Martin Luna walked and singled.
Vincent Carrillo, Jayden Rodriguez and Mark Steven Perez had one single apiece to account for the rest of the Charter Oak offense.
Marcus Reese got the loss in spite of allowing just one run on five hits over innings.
Reese issued one walk and struck out three BAHS batters.
The Lancers scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to put the game away.
All nine Amat batters had at least one hit in Monday’s win.
Santiago Ramirez singled, doubled and drove in a run.
Raymond Castro had a two-run single in the four-run sixth inning.
Levi Altamirano hit a solo HR.
Justin Peinado walked, singled and scored.
Diego Briones and Omar Arretche singled and scored one run apiece.
