Niko Paoletto hit a solo HR off Perry Johnson in the sixth inning, to pull Damien to within 2-1.

Andrew Carter followed with a single.
With the potential tying winning runs on base, AJ Lamonda called for a sac bunt.
The Huskies attempted to get the lead runner at third, but an error allowed the Spartans to tie the game at 2-2.
After an intentional walk to load the bases, Julian Hines hit a line drive to center that fell for a hit.
Johnson got the loss after allowing the three runs (one earned) on two hits and two walks.
Brody Buoncristiani had shut out Damien through five innings.
Buoncristiani allowed just one hit, walked two and fanned three DHS batters.
Paoletto finished 2-for-3, with the run and RBI.
Carter singled twice and scored.
Nathan Ries went 4 2/3 innings for Damien, and he allowed one run on six hits.
Ries walked three and struck out three CHHS batters.
Gage Wiese surrendered one run on three hits over 1 2/3 innings.
