Girls Wrestling:
San Dimas took all the drama out of Wednesday night’s showdown at Bonita.
The dual started at 130 pounds.
And the Lady Saints won the first four matches from 130-145 pounds via pinfall, and they led 24-0.
SDHS would go on to claim a dominating 60-18 victory over the Bearcats.
Lexi Cooprider (130), Valerie Sanchez (135), Alani Marrujo (140) and Izcalia Baldelomar (145) all secured pin-fall victories for that early San Dimas lead.
Bonita’s Holly Martinez (155) and Mia Uc (170) cut the SDHS lead in half with pins of their own.
But Jade Seitz (190) and Charlene Smith (235) would put any BHS hopes of a comeback to rest with consecutive pins.
After Bonita’s Sadie Molina (100) won via forfeit, San Dimas’ Kayla Fierro (105) and Mariah Melendez (110) won by forfeit, and there was a double-forfeit at 115 pounds.
Lei’ani Jaime (115) and Angelina Licon (125) closed out the win in dominating fashion for San Dimas with consecutive pins.
