Boys Basketball:
San Dimas closed out their Gary Prestesater Classic on a high note.
After dropping the opener to Villa Park (69-64), the Saints rolled off victories over Alta Loma (55-40), Duarte (72-33), Don Lugo (46-41) and wrapped up the consolation championship on Saturday with a 67-32 triumph of Patriot.
SDHS had an 11-point lead after the first quarter and took a 42-20 advantage into the break.
The Saints had four players in double digits, including Logan Hodson’s team-high 19 points.
Ethan Chavez scored 17 in the win, and all three of his 3-pointers came in the first half.
Damian Rojo of Patriot had a game-high 20 points and finished with four 3-pointers.
Aaron Park contributed 11 and Nathan Yearout chipped in with 10 points.
Up next: San Dimas travels to rival Bonita on Monday at 7.
