Joe De Francisco, Field Rats
The Field Rats (7-8) begin the all-star week with a record of 7-8, which is four games back of the first-place OC Pirates.
Joe De Francisco, of Westcliff University, went 6-for-10 last week, with two doubles, four runs and three RBIs.
De Francisco walked twice and stole four bases.
For the season, he’s batting .321, with nine hits, seven runs and four RBIs.
Jakub Amado, Ventura County Bucs
The Bucs (10-6) find themselves just 1.5 games back of the OC Pirates.
And Jakub Amado did his part in helping the VCB stay in contention for a division title.
He went 5 2/3 scoreless innings this past week on two hits.
Amado walked three and fanned one.
For the season, he’s 1-1, with a 4.29 ERA, and 23 strikeouts.
