Maranatha & Former NFL Star LaVar Arrington Part Ways; Minutemen Looking for New Football Coach

Maranatha High School is looking for a new football coach.

The school and three-year football coach, LaVar Arrington have parted ways.

Arrington played college football at Penn State before embarking on a seven-year NFL career

He was 14-9 at the helm of the Minutemen, including a 9-2 mark in Olympic League games.

Maranatha released the following statement: (May 2o):

Maranatha High School thanks Coach LaVar Arrington for his time and outstanding effort in helping create a distinguished football program while at Maranatha. He is moving on from his position as head football coach at this time. We are thankful for the positive impact that he has had on our community and wish him well in his future endeavors.

Maranantha High School will begin accepting applications for its head football coach immediately.
