Isenhart & Nolan’s Arms, Wooldridge & Gonzales’ Bats Lead Glendora to 4-3 Victory at Sunny Hills

After a season-opening loss on Saturday, Glendora has bounced back and defeated a pair of 2-0 teams in a 24-hour stretch.

Yesterday, the Tartans knocked off Rancho Cucamonga, 4-1.

Fast forward to Tuesday, and GHS handed Sunny Hills its first loss, 4-3, in Fullerton.

Jeff Isenhart went the first five innings to put the Tartans in a position to win

Isenhart allowed three runs (one earned) on six hits.

He walked one and struck out six.

GHS got single runs in the top of the sixth and seventh innings and JJ Nolan did the rest.

Nolan went the sixth and seventh innings and didn’t allow a hit or run.

He walked one and struck out a pair of Lancers’ batter.

Symon Tabello singled twice and scored and Darian Choi had a pair of singles and RBIs for the Lancers.

Allen Franco went four strong innings for Sunny Hills.

He allowed one run on three hits, walked one and fanned four Tartans.

Chris Cornelius allowed two runs and Chris Park got the loss after allowing a seventh-inning run.

Braydon Wooldridge tripled and scored on an error for what turned out to be to game-winning run.

Wooldridge also walked and doubled.

GHS leadoff batter, Matt Gonzales was back to being Matt Gonzales.

After going 0-for the first two games, Gonzales, who also currently plays football on Friday’s, went 2-for-4, with two runs scored.

Isenhart had an RBI base hit and Carson Collett drove in a run with a sac fly.

Troy Estrada had an RBI single and Shane Mion walked and scored.

Up next: GHS will host California on Saturday for a doubleheader.
