Football:

Ayala got started early and cruised to a 35-0 victory at Los Altos on Friday night.

The Bulldogs scored on their first three possessions and never looked back.

Bryan Wilson led the way, completing 9 of his 14 pass attempts for 127 yards and a pair of TD’s.

Wilson went 5-for-5 in the first half to help the Bulldogs separate itself from the Conquerors.

Wilson had TD tosses to both Dominick Alloway and Lytallion Payne.

CJ Sento and Jacob Munoz had one rushing TD apiece.

Sophomore Marquis Monroe blocked a punt and recovered it in the end zone for a TD.

The Bulldogs’ ground gain totaled 194 yards on 33 carries.

Ayala’s defense forced a fumble (CJ Sento) and recovered the ball (Jayden Colvin) and had an interception by Jonathan Fuentes.

Up next: Ayala will host Diamond Ranch on Thursday at 7.

The Panthers fell, 18-14, to Chino Hills, last night.

Quotable:

Ayala coach, Arthur Gracia: “We won in all three phases of the game and won the turnover battle. We focused all week on protecting the football and going back to the fundamentals. We were all very happy to come away Week 0 with the Bone, but disappointed in the turnovers. Against Los Altos, we won the turnover margin, were very efficient running/throwing the ball, played lights out defensively, and scored on a punt block. C.J. Sento, Marquis Monroe, and Jacob Munoz all ran the ball effectively. Bryan Wilson made play after play with his arm and feet, connecting several times with Lytallion Payne and Dominic Alloway.”

Box Score:
A: 7-14-7-7-(35)
LA: 0-0-0-0-(0)

Records: Ayala (2-0); Los Altos (1-1)
