Softball:
Rio Hondo Prep opened the CIF-SS Division 6 playoffs on a very high note.
RHP, behind its star pitcher, Tatiana Foor, cruised to an 8-0 victory over Nogales.
Foor went the distance, scattering three hits and striking out eight Nobles batters.
Foor needed just 83 pitches to finish what she started.
Leading 1-0, the Kares put the game away with six runs in the bottom of the third inning.
Madison Metz singled, doubled, scored twice and drove in a pair of runs.

Maddie Glatt doubled, scored and had two RBIs.
Foor helped her own cause, going 2-for-3, with a double, run scored and RBI.
Avery Pollock singled twice and scored.
Elle Curtis had an RBI double and scored.
And Grace Pollock singled, doubled and scored twice.
Up next: RHP will face the winner of Thursday’s Eisenhower-Bloomington game this Saturday.
