High School Sports:

Glendora High School photographer Carlo Montalbo reached out to this writer and he asked me to post his thank you note to all those who prayed, sent positive vibes his way and donated to the GoFundMe.

Thankfully, Carlo finished his final round of chemotherapy and after taking the time he needs to rest, we’ll all be happy to see him back at sporting events and documenting the success of GHS athletes through his art of capturing a game’s biggest moments.

Dear Friends and Family,

First of all, I want to thank God for giving me the opportunity, strength, and will to fight and win this battle.

I am so grateful to everyone who reached out, sent prayers, and encouraged me to fight on.

I also want to express our deepest gratitude for the financial donations.

We did not ask for or expect this, but my family and I truly appreciate everyone’s generosity.

To those who tend to be stubborn and say they are okay: the minute you feel something is different or out of the ordinary, please get a check-up.

Don’t just think about yourself; think about your family and the people around you.

Lastly, thank you to my family for your love and support, especially my wife for everything she has done to keep me going and to keep our household running as normally as possible.
