Baseball:
In Glendora’s first game since winning a CIF-SS Division 3 title, the Tartans saw four pitcher’s team up for a combined no-hitter.
GHS scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning, and they cruised to a 7-0 victory over Eastside of Lancaster.
Preston Tymchak earned the win after going four scoreless and hitless innings.
Tymchak issued three walks and fanned five EHS batters.
Chase Medina, Santiago Garza and Alan Ohno provided one scoreless and hitless inning apiece.
Medina got all three of his out via strikeout, and Ohno fanned a pair of Lions.
John Seader walked, singled and scored a pair of runs.
Tanner Grable drove in two runs on a pair of sac flies.
Jude Garcia went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
Aidan Yamazaki scored and had one RBI.
Garza was hit by pitch and scored.
Riley Cooper scored twice.
Diego Garza went 1-for-2 with a walk and one RBI.
Sebastian Lawrence singled and Josh Kim scored once in the win.
Up next: GHS will host Littlerock on Monday at 3.
