Ayala’s inaugural flag football season came to an end on Tuesday evening.

The Bulldogs fell, 20-12, in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 3 playoffs at ML King in Riverside.

Although it ended earlier than they would have liked, AHS had a remarkable first season.

They finished 19-9, including a second-place finish in the Palomares League standings.

Trailing 6-0, responded and tied the game at 6-6, when Brooklee Harris connected with Addison Gonzalez on a 4-yard TD pass.

After and interception by Amaryn Silva, the Bulldogs turned it into six points.

Delilah Reynaga’s 3-yard TD reception gave Ayala is first lead of the game at 12-6.

King scored their second TD of the night with 15 seconds remaining in the first half.

And the game was tied at 12-12.

The Wolves had the game’s only second half points.

They scored on a 26-yard TD pass on a fourth-and-six play, and MLK converted its two-point conversion attempt.

Congrats to Ayala for a terrific 2024 season.
