San Dimas didn’t just win their first CIF-SS Division 3 playoff game in school history.

The Saints did it in the most dramatic way possible.

With the game tied at 13-13, and with two seconds to play, SDHS snapped the ball to Audrey Schlim.

Schlim found Lacy Garcia on a 1-yard TD pass to set off a celebration.

However, plenty happened to set up the game-winning TD.

With 2:30 left in the game, Westminster picked a San Dimas pass at the 1-yard line.

Two plays later, Ashley Sandmark returned the favor and she intercepted the Lions quarterback to give the Saints another chance.

The scoreboard showed 58 seconds remaining, and in Westminster territory, Schlim completed a six-yard pass to Lacy Garcia.

Schlim kept the drive going with a 12-yard pass to Anelly Alba.

It put San Dimas just one yard from victory.

And as mentioned above, Schlim and Garcia extended the Saints season with the 1-yard hook up.

Schlim completed 12 of 18 for 166 yards.

That included three TD passes and one interception.

Faith Kearns caught three passes for 98 yards and one score.

Garcia finished with five receptions for 43 yards, including three TDs.

Sandmark caught three passes for 25 yards.

Alba totaled two receptions for 17 yards and Makenzie McMillin had 16 receiving yards on two catches.

Leiani Jaime rushed for 20 of San Dimas’ 27 yards on five carries.

Natalya Gardea led the Saints defense with six tackles.

Ave Mercado, Anelly Alba and Faith Kearns contributed four tackles apiece.

Up next: The Saints will host Highland on Saturday at 5.

The Bulldogs (20-6) survived a 38-32 shootout with visiting El Segundo.
