Flag Football:
Before Saturday’s 32-14 victory at Don Lugo, Glendora had gone 26 days without a win.
The Tartans didn’t play for 16 days because of cancelations and extreme heat before a pair of Palomares League losses to Bonita (13-0) and Ayala (20-0).
This time around, GHS only had to wait 48 hours to secure consecutive victories.
And it was the first Palomares League flag football win in school history.
The Tartans led 18-12 at the half at Claremont, and they headed home with a 24-12 victory.
Rylee Franks completed 14 of her 26 pass attempts for 160 yards.
And the Glendora freshman tossed four TD passes.
Zaida Herrera (3-for-32 & one TD) and Olivia Martin (2-for-35 & one TD) combined to catch five passes for 67 yards and two TD’s.
Hailey Travisano had a big day for GHS.
Travisano had a game-high 108 yards on 10 carries.
And she caught four passes for 52 yards, including a pair of TD’s from Franks.
Paola Casas led the GHS defense with five flag pulls.
Tatiana Espitia and Sofia Freking had three tackles apiece in the win.
Up next: GHS will host Westridge on Wednesday afternoon at Pompei Park.
The kickoff is set for 3:30.
