Girls Basketball:
Last year, Providence not only snapped Flintridge Prep’s 72-game Prep League win streak, they also ended the Wolves eight-year streak of consecutive league titles.
In their first meeting of the 2022-23 season, Flintridge Prep trounced the Pioneers, 66-27, on Friday night.
Ashley Chea’s triple-double was the icing on the cake.
Chea finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
And while the Pioneers face-guarded Chea all night, freshman Maddie Smith stepped up big time.
Smith had a monster game with 32 points, eight rebounds, four steals and three blocked shots.
Bridget Crenshaw led Providence with six points.
Up next: The Wolves travel to Mayfield on Thursday at 5.
