Softball:
Since their first loss of the season to Ayala (5-4) on March 25th, Glendora has crushed a pair of Palomares League opponents.
Last week, the Tartans destroyed Diamond Bar, 21-1, at DBHS.
And on Wednesday, GHS left Walnut High School with a 16-0 victory in five innings.
Gianna Messick tossed a three-hit shutout.
Messick issued one walk and registered eight strikeouts.
Of her 42 pitches, 65 were strikes.
Kaitlyn McGill and Paloma Pasquil had one double apiece for the Mustangs and Peyton Schilz singled.
Aubrey Birtness has seen better days.
Birtness surrendered 16 runs (14 earned) on 17 hits in five innings.
She walked one and struck out three GHS batters.
Fifty-four of her 86 pitches were strikes.
Seven Tartans had two hits or more.
Lauren Curiel went 2-for-2, was hit by pitch, homered, scored three runs and drove in two.
Siena Bobadilla doubled, homered, scored twice and drove in a pair.
Kiley Coleman had a monster game with three doubles, a run and six RBIs.
Morgan Gonzalez singled twice and scored a pair of runs.
Ryan Torres went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and drove in two runs.
Kennedy Bowers had a pair of singles and one RBI.
Emma Garcia went 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs and an RBI.
Penny Dizon singled and scored.
Ayva Cabuena went 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Mady Stone scored twice and Aubrie Winovitch crossed the plate once.
Up next: The Tartans will host Duarte on Friday.
