South Hills Rushes For 501 Yards & Eight TDs in Friday’s 55-15 Hacienda League Beatdown of Covina in Regular Season Finale

Football:

South Hills ran all over Covina on Friday night.

Literally.

The Huskies rushed for 501 yards and dropped a 55-15 beatdown on the Colts in the regular season finale for both programs.

Five separate SHHS players had at least 40 yards rushing.

And South Hills saw five running backs score at least once.

Tyler Arguinzoni gained 178 yards on 18 carries, including a pair of TD runs.

Justin Jimenez carried the ball eight times for 88 yards and two scores.

Jaylen Lang had 10 carries for 77 yards.

Jorge Aldaco scored two TDs of his own.

Ivan Lopez (7), Ian Mejia (6) and Daniel Calderon (5) led the SHHS defense with a combined 18 tackles.

Aldaco totaled 50 yards on eight carries.

Isaiah Castellano rushed for 43 yards on six carries and one TD.

Merit Hosey had a 5-yard TD run.

Up next: The Huskies will find out tomorrow (Sunday) morning at 10 if they’ve received an at-large playoff berth.

Covina did not post their stats online.
