Quotable:
Mt. SAC coach, John Knott: “We’re happy to get a victory in game one. It was a team win led by Izeah Muniz and our bullpen (Peralta, Viveros and Silversmith). They all did an outstanding job preserving the shutout. Tomorrow will be a challenge, as both teams will fight to advance, and we will see which program makes necessary adjustments as the series progresses.”
