Ayala secured a three-game Palomares League sweep of Walnut after Saturday’s 11-1 victory in five innings.
The Bulldogs out-hit the Mustangs, 13-3.
Easton Sarmiento went three innings to earn the win.
Sarmiento surrendered one run on two hits.
He walked two and fanned three.
Hayden Hovey got the final six outs without any damage, including a pair of strikeouts.
Adam Lenero singled and scored.
JJ Rodriguez singled in Lenero to give WHS a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
Nathan Simons had the other Walnut base hit.
Nick Tavares was saddled with the loss, allowing eight runs (seven earned) on seven hits and two walks over 1 1/3 innings.
Jonah Boyd finished his killer week by going 2-for-2 with a run, double and two RBIs.
Jaden Valenzuela singled, tripled, scored twice and drove in a pair of runs.
Caleb Trugman had a two-run single, an RBI ground out and a sac fly.
Elijah Duarte went 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI.
