Boys Athletes of the Week:
Ayala crushed Walnut in each of their three Palomares League games this past week.
The Bulldogs picked up the three-game sweep by a combined margin of 38-2.
AHS is now 6-0 in league games, and they’ve secured sweeps of Glendora and Walnut by a combined score of 67-6.
This past week, Jonah Boyd and Jaden Valenzuela torched WHS pitching by going a combined 15-18.
Boyd, a freshman, went 9-for-10 with two doubles, two triples, six runs and nine RBIs.
Valenzuela, a junior collected six hits in eight at-bats.
And that included two walks, a double, triple, eight runs and three RBIs from the leadoff spot.
