Track & Field:
Colt Classic:
The Covina girls and Bonita boys secured impressive team titles at this past weekend’s Covina Invitational.
The Lady Colts (102) finished 17 points ahead of second-place Claremont.
Covina’s Kaylei Combest won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.97.
The Colts’ Elizabeth Agopian secured the discus title with a distance of 105-01.
And CHS’ Sofia Jara earned first place in the long jump (17-06.75) and the triple jump (34-08.00)
Western Christian’s Gabriella Petrucci claimed titles in the 100 and 200 meters.
Petrucci finished the 100 at 12.03, and the 200 at 24.80.
Bonita (98.75) finished 11.75 points ahead of second-place Damien.
Western Christian’s PJ Hibb won both the shot put (47-05.00) and discus (140-00)
Bonita’s Daiveon Woodley secured the 200-meter title with a time of 21.62.
Damien finished first in both the 4×100 and 4×400 relays in times of 42.01 and 3:21.97.
And the Spartans’ Jaxson Gates won the 100-meter race at 10.83.
Rio Hondo Prep freshman Braeden Yokoyama cleared 13-06.00 to win the pole vault competition.
