Menchaca, Corral, Viveros & Torres Combined on 1-Hit Shutout in Mt. SAC’s 18-0 Victory Over LA Harbor; Mounties Extend Win Streak to 21

College Baseball:

Mt. SAC finished off its three-game South Coast Conference sweep of LA Harbor with an 18-0 ass kicking.

The Mounties outscored the Seahawks, 51-1, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, respectively.

MSAC has now won 21 consecutive games.

And they had a 17-1 advantage in hits on Saturday in Walnut.

Brenden Menchaca went six scoreless innings and allowed one hit to earn the win.

Menchaca didn’t issue a walk and registered six strikeouts.

Ethan Corral, Matt Viveros and Josh Torres provided one scoreless and hitless inning in relief.

KJ Romero walked and had the only LAHC base hit.

Christian Johnson got the loss after surrendering 12 runs (five earned) on 11 hits over four innings.

The Mounties got six runs (five earned) on six hits off Michael Corrales in his four innings of work.

Corrales walked two and fanned one MSAC batter.

The top six batters in the Mounties lineup combined for 14 hits, 12 runs and 14 RBIs.

Bryan Bradshaw went 3-for-4 with two walks, a double, four runs and two RBIs from the leadoff spot.

Tyler Stull singled, doubled twice, scored a pair of runs and drove in one.

Landon White drew a pair of walks, singled, scored twice and drove in three.

Ty Thomas went 2-for-5 with a walk, double and three RBIs.

Diego Ortiz had three singles in six at-bats, with two runs and three RBIs.

Miguel Perez went 2-for-3 with a walk, triple, two runs and a pair of RBIs.

Noah Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with a walk, double and three runs.

Cole Nachreiner walked, singled and scored a pair of runs.

Jackson Giacone scored and had one RBI.

Up next: The Mounties opposition will rise significantly when they host Cerritos on Tuesday for the first of a three-game SCC series with the Falcons.

The first pitch is set for 2.
