Baseball:
Bonita secured a Palomares League series victory over Claremont, 2-1.
After CHS jumped on BHS early in Thursday’s 11-9 victory, the Bearcats paid the Wolfpack back on Saturday.
Bonita score four runs in the first and second innings, and they cruised to a 12-0 victory at Claremont.
Wyatt Green was charged with four runs on three hits and a pair of walks before being yanked after 2/3 of an inning.
The Bearcats got to Brandon Garcia for four unearned runs on two hits and three walks over 2 1/3 innings.
Chase Jackson and Tyler Clark both surrendered two runs apiece on five combined hits and two walks in 3 2/3 innings.
Joaquin Covarrubias went 2-for-3 with a walk, three runs and three RBIs.
Andrew Sanchez singled, doubled and scored a pair of runs.
Carlos Arredondo doubled and scored.
Josh Angely walked, singled and scored three times.
Austin Banuelos singled and scored.
Dominic Garcia walked, singled and scored.
Judah Reeve drew three walks and had two RBIs.
LJ Vasquez went 1-for-3 with three RBIs.
Brady Horn singled, Cody White scored, and Cole Teague had one RBI for the Bearcats.
Daniel Nageer went five scoreless and allowed just one hit to earn the win.
Nageer issued one walk and registered four strikeouts.
Adam Raab provided two scoreless innings in relief, allowing three hits and striking out one.
Ruben Valdez, Ben Buch, Thomas Plotkin and Dane Dorman had one single apiece to account for the CHS offense.
Up next: The Wolfpack head to Glendora on Tuesday, April 8th.
