Orange Lutheran Jumps on Arcadia Early & Cruised to a 5-1 Victory; Four Lancers’ Pitchers Held Apaches to One Run & Three Hits

Orange Lutheran and Arcadia met up on Friday in a battle of the No. 22 (OL) and No. 23 (AHS) ranked teams in the state (MaxPreps).

And the Lancers cruised to a 5-1 victory.

Orange Lu scored three times in the first inning, and they plated another run in the second to take a 4-0 lead.

Sam Principe went four scoreless and hitless innings to earn the win.

Principe issued one walk and struck out a pair of AHS batters.

Keyonn Chatman singled and scored.

Damian Catano drove in Chatman on an RBI ground out in the top of the sixth inning.

Matt Manzo and Julian Salmon had one single apiece to account for the rest of the Arcadia offense.

Isaiah Spencer was charged with three runs on two hits and a pair of walks in 1/3 of an inning.

Tyler Swilling would go the final 5 2/3 innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits.

Swilling walked three and he struck out five OLHS batters.

Ricardo Hurtado went 2-for-3 and scored a pair of runs.

Brady Murrieta singled and scored.

Josiah Hartshorn drew a pair of walks and scored one run.

Hamilton Friedberg had an RBI single, an RBI ground out and scored.

Wyatt Hanoian walked, singled and was hit by pitch with the bases loaded.

Trevor Deack drew a walk and had an RBI ground out.

Up next: The Apaches travel to Glendale on Tuesday at 3:45.
