Baseball:
South Hills finished 2-2 at the Southern Warrior Classic in Murfreesboro, Tennessee after Friday’s 5-3 victory over James Clemens High School.
Joseph Moreno earned the win after going five innings and allowing two runs on four hits.
Moreno issued seven walks and fanned eight JCHS batters.
Nicolas Munoz provided 1 2/3 innings in relief and surrendered one run on two hits.
Munoz walked one and struck out one.
Elias Reyes got the final out via strikeout to earn the save.
Moreno improved his personal record to 2-0 with two saves.
Matthew Drinkwater went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs.
Hudson Smith drew three walks and singled in a run.
Bryson Hodge walked, singled and scored.
Ian Berry went 1-for-2 with a walk, single and two runs.
Brooks Rhodes singled once for the Jets.
Tyler Lewis went four innings and surrendered five runs (four earned) on eight hits to suffer the loss.
Carson Baker and Zack Escalera both went 1-for-3 with an RBI single and one run scored.
Victor Merlos had an RBI single in the three-run second inning.
Diego Villarreal and Ayden Vieth singled and scored one run apiece.
Paxton Czubek went 1-for-2 and scored.
Wesley Manning walked and singled.
Noah Esquival singled once on Friday.
Up next: The Huskies travel to Alta Loma on Wednesday at 3:30 to resume Hacienda League play.

Wolak, a 1988 graduate, made it to Triple-A for the Chicago White Sox.
