Quotable:

Monrovia coach, Brad Blackmore: “It was a big win today. We gutted it out on the mound, and (Sutton) Powers came in and closed it out. We had some big hits with two outs, and we kept after it at the plate against two really good pitchers. It was a good ballgame all around. Our league is tough this year.”
