Softball:

Glendora snapped a two-game Palomares League losing streak on Thursday.

The Tartans got off to a quick start offensive and Gianna Messick did the rest in the circle.

GHS claimed an 8-2 victory over their visitors from Claremont.

Messick went the distance, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits.

Messick issued one walk and registered four strikeouts.

Of her 118 pitches, 75 were strikes.

Corinne Sorel went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Khloe Moran singled twice and scored.

Danieli Becerra walked, singled and scored for the Wolfpack.

Mia Avalos had the other CHS base hit.

Moran went all six for Claremont, and she was charged with eight runs (five earned) on 10 hits and a walk.

Rylee Franks went 3-for-3 with a run and one RBI.

Kylie Coleman walked, scored and had a two-run double.

Morgan Gonzalez went 1-for-4 with a run and two RBIs.

Elizabeth Dominguez doubled and scored.

Mia Reyes went 2-for-3 with a run and one RBI.

Lauren Curiel singled twice, scored and drove in one.

Maddy Stone and Kaylie Winovitch scored one run apiece.
