Zandbergen & Primanto Combine to go 10 Innings, Allowing One Earned Run & Striking Out 17 in Alta Loma’s 3-2 Victory Over Lincoln

Alta Loma will play five games this week.

The Braves opened the week with losses to West Linn (13-3) and Whittier Christian (6-5) on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.

ALHS, however, snapped the slide with a 3-2 victory over Lincoln in 10 innings.

Jake Zandbergen pitched his butt off, but he wasn’t in on the decision.

Zandbergen went seven innings, and he allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits.

Zandbergen didn’t issue a walk and registered 11 strikeouts.

With one out from victory, a wild pitch in the top of the seventh tied the game at 2-2.

Zandbergen would rebound and struck out Alex Olbeter to finish the inning.

Cody Primanto earned the win after going three scoreless innings and allowing just one hit.

Primanto got six of his nine outs via strikeout.

Zandbergen and Primanto combined to strikeout 10 separate LHS batters at least once, and they got three Cardinals three times.

Olbeter went 2-for-4 and scored.

Blake Timothy singled and scored.

Graeme Warner went six innings for Lincoln, and he allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits.

Warner walked four and fanned three ALHS batters.

Satchwell Wilson got the loss after surrendering an unearned run on one hit and two walks over 3 1/3 innings.

Jacob Ynajasa was hit-by-pitch to lead off the bottom of the 10th, and he came around to score the game winner on a wild pitch.

Vincent Cantu drew a pair of walks, and he had an RBI single in the bottom of the first.

Silas Granados had an RBI ground out.

Matthew Torres went 2-for-4.

Logan Sein singled and scored.

Matthew Perez singled once in the win.

Up next: The Braves travel to Yorba Linda on Thursday at 3.
