Baseball:

San Dimas had to wait five days before getting back on the field after being no-hit by South Hills last week.

And the Saints took it out on Los Altos in a 9-1, Hacienda League victory at SDHS.

Dean Brosterhouse went the distance to earn the win.

He allowed one run on two hits.

Brosterhouse issued one walk and registered six strikeouts.

Of his 86 pitches, 56 went for strikes.

Brosterhouse fanned six different Conquerors.

Jake Vasquez was hit-by-pitch in the top of the third, and he’d score on a Diego Ortiz ground out.

Andrew Ochoa doubled, and Nathan Barrera singled for LAHS.

Ethier Diaz was stuck with the loss after surrendering five runs (two earned) on four hits over five innings.

Diaz walked a pair and fanned two SDHS batters.

Barrera was charged with four unearned runs on one hit and one walk over one inning of work.

Jason Almeda scored, had a two-run double and a two-run single for the Saints.

Ashton Romero walked and hit a solo HR in the bottom of the third to give San Dimas a 3-1 lead.

Vaughn Coleman went 2-for-3 with a walk and three runs.

James Rocha walked and scored a pair of runs.

Jayden Medina drove in a run on a sac fly.

Josh Calcanas had an RBI ground out and scored.
