Boys Basketball:
Pasadena outlasted their visitors from the 90212 on Wednesday evening.
PHS outscored Beverly Hills, 28-11, in the second and third quarters, and they would hold on for a 55-37 victory in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 2A playoffs.
Jahmir Hampton scored a game-high 12 points for the Bulldogs.
All 12 came from beyond the 3-point arc.
Desmond Every chipped in with 10 points, including a pair of 3’s.
Derek Jordan provided 10 points of his own.
And Troy Wilson had nine points in the win.
BHHS got 10 points from Jojo Marzouk 10, and eight from RJ Ball.
Up next: The Bulldogs will face Irvine on Friday at 7.
IHS defeated their visitors from Bishop Amat, 64-42, in their first-round contest.
