Garzon, Diep & Chavez Combine for 38 Points in San Dimas’ 50-27 Victory Over Calvary Chapel Santa Ana in First Round of D-3A Playoffs

There was zero drama in Wednesday’s CIF-SS Division 3A showdown between San Dimas and their hosts from Calvary Chapel Santa Ana.

The Saints cruised to a 50-27 victory over the Eagles.

CCSA managed just four points in the first half, and they failed to score in the second quarter.

SDHS sophomore, Jeremiah Garzon, scored a game-high 18 points.

Garzon outscored CCSA, 8-4, in the first half.

Andrew Diep ran the San Dimas efficiently and effectively, and the junior chipped in with 11 points, including three 3-pointers in the third quarter.

Luke Chavez finished with nine points, and Nathan Yearout had six.

Deacon Franklin led Calvary Chapel with 10 points, including a pair of 3-pointers.

Ben DeVries scored nine points in the loss.

Up next: The Saints will travel to Anaheim to battle Esperanza on Friday night at 7.

The Aztecs secured a 61-48 victory over their visitors from Ontario Christian.
