Boys Basketball:
La Salle made the most of earning a CIF-SS playoff spot.
On Wednesday, the Lancers cruised to a 54-36 victory at Salesian in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 3A playoffs.
La Salle took a 21-8 lead into the break and the outcome was never in doubt.
Emmitt Claiborne led the way with 22 points.
AJ Hudson chipped in with 13 points.
Diego Bernal and Enzo Trejo contributed five points apiece in the win.
Up next: The Lancers will host Providence on Friday at 7.
The Pioneers (13-12) earned a 64-41 victory at Whitney in their first-round contest.
