Girls Basketball:

Claremont inched closer to an outright Palomares League title.

The Wolfpack outlasted visiting Glendora, 45-38, on Tuesday evening.

With two games to play, CHS holds a one-game lead over second-place Bonita.

Claremont had a one-point lead at the break, and they’d outscore the Tartans, 24-19, in the second half.

Khrysma Johnson scored a game-high 23 points, including a pair of 3-pointers.

Zara Achondo contributed 11 points in the win.

Mia Reyes led Glendora with 13 points, which included three 3-pointers.

Briana Gomez scored nine of her 10 points beyond the 3-point arc.
