Wrestling:
San Dimas and Alta Loma met up on Thursday night at SDHS to decide the Hacienda League championship.
With two matches to go and the dual tied at 33-33, the Braves closed on a 12-0 run to secure a 45-33 victory.
ALHS had an 8-6 advantage in matches won.
The Braves won six of the final eight matches (144-285), including five pins and a default victory at 215 pounds.
Alta Loma heavyweight Nathan Solano officially secured the league title with a pin over Angel Castenada.
ALHS got pins from Ezekiel Corona (106), Cole Pacheco (144), Corey Zamora (150), David Sakaoghli (157) and Charly Arnaro (165).
Garrett Berry defeated San Dimas’ Nathan Ramirez, 13-5, at 120 pounds.
San Dimas got pins from Ben Cordero (126), Kamari Baldelomar (132), Fabio Lara (175) and Michael Baeza (190).
The Saints’ Ethan Rodriguez defeated Mickey Holland, 14-9, in the 113-pound bout.
Alta Loma’s Jacob Ramirez (215) and San Dimas’ Daniel Baeza (138) picked up wins via forfeit.
