Girls Basketball:
Flintridge Prep doesn’t get much if any competition in the Prep League.
They’ve won 29 consecutive league games, and this season, their average margin of victory is 69-14.
On Saturday, though, they met up with Valencia at the Heritage Christian Showcase.
It was a battle of the No. 51 (FP) and No. 55 (VHS) ranked team in the state by MaxPreps.
And the Wolves outlasted the Vikings, 53-46, to improve to 16-1.
Maddie Smith had 20 points, six rebounds, five assists and six steals.
Olivia Childs chipped in with 11 points and seven rebounds.
Akemi Fu contributed nine points, five rebounds and five steals.
Cara McKell led Valencia with 22 points.
Up next: The Wolves travel to Providence on Tuesday at 5:30, and they hope to extend their current Prep League win streak to 30 games.
