Girls Basketball:
La Salle left Long Beach disappointed on Saturday.
The Lancers led the Saints by eight points at the break in an important Del Rey League showdown.
SAHS, however, claimed a 43-36 victory by outscoring LSHS, 29-14, in the second half.
Jordyn Washington scored a game-high 23 points for St. Anthony.
Kadence Lloyd chipped in with 10 points in the win.
Casey Higgins nearly scored half of La Salle’s offensive output with 17 points.
Aislin Tamez Torres finished with eight points, and Maddie Chiang had five points in the loss.
With three games to play, La Salle trails second-place St. Anthony by one game.
Up next: The Lancers will host St. Mary’s Academy on Monday at 4.
