Girls Basketball:
La Salle earned its first Del Rey League victory in three tries.
After losses to St. Monica (60-54) and Bishop Montgomery (44-41), the Lancers secured a 49-36 victory at St. Mary’s Academy.
Casey Higgins and Maddy Chiang tied for a game-high 15 points.
Aislin Tamez Torres chipped in with eight points, while Julianne Tan and Riley Higgins provided six points apiece in the win.
Skylar Newsome led SMA with 12 points.
And Ebbony Wilson contributed 11 points in Tuesday’s loss.
Up next: The Lancers host St. Anthony on Thursday at 7.
