Desmond Every Scored 22 Points to Lead PHS to a 57-54 Victory Over San Gabriel Academy in Third Place Game at Damien Classic

Boys Basketball:

Pasadena had an impressive showing at the Damien Classic.

The Bulldogs defeated San Gabriel Academy, 57-54, on Monday to earn third place in the Silver Division.

Desmond Every scored a game-high 22 points, including four 3-pointers.

That earned the PHS senior all-tournament honors.

Troy Wilson chipped in with 14, and Josh Irving scored 10 points in the win.

Xavier Wang led SGA with 15 points, and that included four 3’s.

Mohamed Toure finished with 14 points, and Mamadou Traore had 10 in the loss.

Pasadena went 3-1 at the prestigious tournament, including wins over St. Mary’s, Valencia and SGA.

Up next: PHS will battle WAELV from Las Vegas on Saturday at 6 at Morningside High School.
