Boys Basketball:
Pasadena crushed Muir on Saturday night.
Oddly enough, it wasn’t considered a Pacific League contest.
For some reason, every Pacific League competitor except for PHS voted to only play one game a year versus the other.
So, Muir and Pasadena scheduled this nonseason clash to give each other a home game.
PHS went on a 43-12 run in the second half, and they cruised to a 71-28 victory over the visiting Mustangs.
Josh Irving and Derek Jordan scored 17 points apiece for the Bulldogs.
Desmond Every chipped in with 10 points and Troy Wilson had nine.
Yahya Ayoob led Muir with seven points.
Evan Hill contributed five points and Sean Izahby had four in the loss.
Muir hasn’t won a head-to-head showdown with their rival since February 11th of 2016.
Up next: PHS will face off with Mojave on Wednesday at 3:45 at the Tarkanian Classic in Las Vegas.
