Boys Basketball:
One day after Damien edged Orange Lutheran, 46-43, at the St. John Bosco Tournament, the Spartans defeated Fairmont Prep, 53-42.
DHS handed FPHS its first loss of the season, 53-42, on Friday.
Eli Garner scored a game-high 22 points, including a pair of 3-pointers.
Jacob Allen had 11 points and Lucas Arrieta chipped in with 10 points.
David Abisogun led Fairmont Prep with 13 points and Oliver Jones had 10.
Up next: The Spartans will battle the tournament hosts on Saturday in the championship game at 7:30.
St. John Bosco (9-0) are coming off a 66-47 victory over La Mirada.
