Boys Soccer:
After starting the season 0-3-1, the Damien soccer program has taken a turn for the better.
Last week, the Spartans defeated Baldwin Park, 2-1.
Next up was a 0-0 tie with Temescal Canyon.
And on Wednesday, DHS secured a 4-2 victory at West Covina.
Von Drake Vega and Jager Gonzalez both scored and assisted on another Damien goal.
Lucas Magana scored on a Kei Romo assist, and Jacob Braunstein scored the other Spartans’ goal.
Estevan Ruvalcaba scored once for West Covina, and he assisted on the other.
Angel Salazar had the other Bulldogs goal.
Up next: The Spartans host Centennial on Monday at 6.
