Football:
After week-seven games were completed in 2023, Charter Oak found itself 1-6.
And four of the six losses were blowouts.
COHS finished the regular season 2-8, but they’d go on to earn a spot the CIF-SS Division 8 title game.
Fast forward to October 11th of 2024, and Dominic Farrar’s boys in blue have flipped the script, and they’re 6-1 after Friday’s 36-13 victory over Los Osos.
The only thing that made the reversal of fortune even more special last night is the fact that Charter Oak got to show what they’ve made of in front of a huge audience on the Bally Sports So Cal channel.
The Chargers are now 2-0 in Sierra League play.
The writing was on the wall rather quickly.
After forcing a Los Osos punt, Corin Berry tossed a 70-yard TD pass to Antonio Reasby on Charter Oak’s first snap.
Berry was just shy of 300 yards, and he totaled four TD passes.
Legend Lyons and Reasby had two TD’s apiece, and they combined to tally 207 yards on 10 catches.
Through week seven, COHS has scored 265 points, and they’ve allowed just 107.
After starting the season 5-0, Los Osos has opened Sierra League play with losses to Colony and Charter Oak by a combined margin of 59-19.
