Glendora Defense Leads Way in 13-0 Victory Over Westridge; Tartans Have Won Three Games in Last Five Days

Flag Football:

Glendora won its third consecutive game on Wednesday.

The Tartans shut out their visitors from Westridge, 13-0, in a nonleague contest.

GHS coach Greg Bidoli credited the Tartans ‘D’ as being the key to victory.

Tatiana Espitia had four flag pulls and one sack.

Sofia Freking totaled five tackles and batted three passes away.

Paola Casas controlled the middle of the defense, and Olivia Martin had an interception.

Rylee Franks completed 14 of 23 for 140 yards and one TD.

Hailey Travisano gained 96 rushing yards, including one TD.

She also had 35 receiving yards.

Emily Green had four receptions for 40 yards.

Martin had a TD reception for GHS.

Up next: The Tartans host undefeated Bonita on Monday at 6 at Pompei Field.

The Bearcats (10-0, 3-0) put a 38-15 beatdown on Ayala (16-4, 2-1) on Wednesday in a battle of first-place programs.
