Flag Football:

After 16 days off in large part to a couple of game cancelations, Glendora traveled to undefeated Bonita to open Palomares League play on Wednesday night.

And it didn’t go as well as they would have liked.

BHS improved to 7-0 with a 13-0 victory over the Tartans.

The one bright note for GHS was holding the Bearcats to 16 points under their game average.

But that was about it.

Tressa Beatty completed 10 of her 15 pass attempts for 61 yards.

Beatty tossed a pair of TD passes and didn’t turn the ball over.

Riley Navarro caught 23-and-1-yard TD passes from Beatty.

Kody McKinney had three receptions for 22 yards, and she carried the ball twice for 11 yards.

Laila Washington reeled in two passes for 10 yards.

Haley Kurrey led the BHS ground game with 33 yards on six carries.

Kayla Heinlein was a beast on defense with 12 tackles.

Her next closest teammate, Malia Misawa, tallied four tackles.

Beatty also picked off a pass on defense.

GHS’ freshman quarterback, Rylie Franks, went 14 of 29 for 128 yards and the one INT.

Hailey Travisano caught five passes for 45 yards, and Milana Luera tallied four receptions for 35 yards.

Travisano led the Tartans ground game with 38 yards on seven carries.

Paola Casas and Hannah Lin each had five flag pulls apiece.

Up next: BHS heads to Claremont on Monday at 6:30.

GHS travels to Ayala on Tuesday at 6:30.
