Flag Football:
The Bonita flag football program has played six games during its inaugural season.
And the Bearcats are 6-0.
After Saturday’s 32-0 victory over St. Lucy’s at Damien High School, BHS has outscored Don Lugo, Sierra Vista, Upland, Yorba Linda, La Serna and the Regents by a combined margin of 189-32.
Tressa Beatty completed 10 of 17 for 110 yards.
The BHS junior tossed three TD’s and one interception.
Ava Flores went 5-of-7 for 88 yards and one TD.
Haley Kurrey carried the ball five times for 76 yards, and that included one TD.
Kurrey also caught a 1-yard TD pass.
Marley Flores gained 12 yards on two carries.
Nine separate Bearcats had at least one catch in Saturday’s win.
Angelique Diaz had two receptions for 65 yards, and a 17-yard TD reception from Flores in the second half.
Brianna Sandmark caught three passes for 30 yards and one TD.
Laila Washington had 41 receiving yards on two catches, and one score.
Erin Garcia, Marley Flores and Brooklyn Amaya each picked off a St. Lucy’s pass.
Up next: The Bonita-San Dimas game scheduled for Monday has been postponed due to local fires and air quality.
The Bearcats will host Glendora on Wednesday night at 7.
