Girls Volleyball:
Etiwanda continues to impress at the start of the 2024 season.
The Eagles are now 8-1 after their four-set victory at JSerra in San Juan Capistrano.
EHS won by scores of 25-22, 19-25, 25-22 and 25-22.
To start the week JSerra was ranked 77th in the state by MaxPreps and Etiwanda is 96th.
Lauren Furnald led the way with 17 kills, 18 digs and a pair of blocks.
Nina Hemsley had 14 kills, and she hit .429.
Brooke Hansen contributed 32 assists and 14 digs.
And Alina Parrales finished with 19 digs and four aces.
Up next: The Eagles travel to Corona Centennial on Tuesday at 5:30.
The Huskies are 9-3, and they’re coming off a three-game sweep of Chaparral.
