Ayala Finishes Week 3-0 After Wednesday’s 18-0 Victory at Arlington; Sanchez Tossed Three TD Passes for Bulldogs

Ayala had a very successful week.

The Bulldogs went 3-0, including victories over Westridge (19-6) on Monday, Quartz Hill (20-7) on Tuesday, and they shut out Arlington, 18-0, on Wednesday.

All three wins came on the road.

On Wednesday, the AHS defense allowed just four first downs.

Audrey Layaye was a defensive stopper on defense with 10 flag pulls.

Addison Gonzalez picked off a pass on defense, she had 42 rushing yards, 55 receiving yards and one TD on offense.

Mariah Holguin reeled in a 15-yard TD pass from Mariah Sanchez.

Sanchez finished 14-for-24 for 131 yards.

She tossed three TD passes and was picked once.

Chloe Keuilian led AHS in rushing with 68 yards, and she caught a pair of passes for 24 yards, including one score.

Zeah Gorospe had four deflections and an interception on defense.

Up next: The Bulldogs head to Cerritos on Tuesday at 4 to battle Gahr.

The Gladiators are 5-1 and they blew out Whittier, 36-6, on Wednesday evening.
