Ayala Controls Second Half of Tuesday’s 20-7 Victory at Quartz Hill; Chloe Keuilian Had 114 Yards of Total Offense & One TD

Flag Football:

Ayala trailed 7-0 at Quartz Hill after the first 20 minutes of play.

But the Bulldogs defense held the Royals scoreless in the second half to claim a 20-7 victory.

AHS quarterback Mariah “MJ” Sanchez went 23 for 26 for 166 yards.

She had one passing touchdown, was picked once and Sanchez ran for one score.

Ava Trujillo had five flag pulls and four deflections on defense.

Trujillo also caught four passes for 33 yards.

Mariah Holguin had three catches for 29 yards and one TD, and she carried the ball one time for 22 yards.

Chloe Keuilian totaled 43 receiving yards on four catches.

She also carried the ball nine times for 60 yards and one TD.

Keuilian even had an 11-yard pass completion in Tuesday’s win.

Zeah Gorospe had six flag pulls and four deflections on defense.

Up next: The Lady Bulldogs travel to Riverside to battle Arlington tonight (Wednesday) at 7:15.

The Lions are 0-5 and they’ve been outscored 118-13 so far.
